A whistleblower chooses their language on the first screen of the form, now from 103 in all. No one has to describe a sensitive problem in a language they barely speak.

As workforces grow more multilingual, a reporting channel has to be too. The reporting form is the page a whistleblower opens to raise a concern. The wider set covers the languages spoken by whistleblowers at WeMoral's customers, from big European languages down to smaller ones used by migrant and frontline workers. Those workers are often the least able to file a whistleblower report in a second language.

The expansion covers:

- 103 languages on the reporting form.
- A per-channel setting to show all 103 languages or only the ones an organization needs.
- Anonymous reporting and encryption in transit and at rest, the same in every language.
- Data hosted in the European Union.

"Whistleblowers report what they can put into words. A form in someone's own language is the difference between a full account and a vague one," said Marta Giemza, corporate ethics expert at WeMoral. "Fear already makes it hard to come forward. A second language on top of that is often enough to stop a person before they start."

Many people handle a company's working language well enough for the job, yet not well enough to write a careful account of misconduct they saw and are afraid to name. A form in their own language removes that last hurdle, at the moment a person is least willing to push past it.

An organization decides which languages its whistleblowing channel supports. It can turn on only the few needed or all 103. The choice changes only what the whistleblower sees. The 103 reach across the world. They include all 24 official languages of the European Union, about 20 more from the rest of Europe, more than 40 from Asia, 14 from Africa, and languages of the Americas and the Pacific. A channel that much of the workforce cannot read is, in practice, not open to them.

"Adding a language is more than translating labels," Giemza said. "Right-to-left support means rebuilding the layout, and each of the 103 has to read naturally to someone writing under stress."
