Sip and Savor showcases the range of expressions of the appellation to one of North America's leading wine gatherings

ROME, ITALY, August 31, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- As part of the Sip and Savor: Pairing European Wines and Deli Meats campaign, a wide selection of Roero DOCG wines was presented to wine professionals attending TEXSOM 2026 Trade Tasting & Exhibition, one of North America's leading conferences dedicated to wine education. Through a masterclass, guided tastings and a dedicated exhibition space, participants had the opportunity to explore the diversity, identity and distinctive character of the Roero DOCG appellation.

The tasting featured a variety of labels representing the different expressions of the denomination, including Roero Arneis DOCG, Roero Arneis DOCG Riserva, Roero Rosso DOCG and Roero Rosso DOCG Riserva. The selection was designed to illustrate the breadth of styles and winemaking approaches that coexist within the Roero production area, demonstrating how the same territory can give rise to remarkably diverse expressions.
The tasting experience was supported by chef, sommelier and wine educator Dana Beninati, who guided visitors through the different wines while sharing insights into the characteristics of the appellation and the Roero production area.

Texas represents one of the most dynamic markets for fine wine in the United States, with a growing demand for premium imported wines and a highly engaged trade community. Presenting Roero DOCG in this context offered an opportunity to increase awareness of the denomination among key industry professionals and reinforce its positioning in a market of strategic importance for the international development of European quality wines.

“Roero DOCG is a denomination built on a multi-faceted identity, where different grape varieties, Nebbiolo and Arneis, express the identity of a unique territory. Presenting this range of expressions to the US wine community is essential to building a deeper understanding of our wines. TEXSOM offered an ideal platform to engage with professionals who value education and are looking for authentic, distinctive wine stories. Texas is a particularly important market in this perspective, thanks to its dynamic wine scene and its growing interest in high-quality European wines. As the newly elected President of the Consorzio Tutela Roero, I consider international education and dialogue with the trade key elements in strengthening the recognition of Roero DOCG worldwide”, said Alessandro Costa, President of the Consorzio Tutela Roero.

Sip and Savor is a three-year campaign by Consorzio Tutela Roero and Istituto Valorizzazione Salumi Italiani (IVSI), co-funded by the European Union, to promote European wines and deli meats in the US and Canada. More than a promotion, it is an invitation to explore and share the cultural and sensory richness of two European excellences through exclusive content, events and experiences across North America.
