This out of touch (and “off script”) comment comes after Lombardo was caught on tape saying he’s powerless to address affordability and “can’t control” it.
While Lombardo claims “[Trump] loves Nevada,” a Las Vegas restaurant employee and registered Republican said he doesn’t believe the president has fulfilled his campaign promises to lower costs, adding “I don’t see [Lombardo] as a leader, I see him as a follower. He’s following Trump.” Since Trump took office, the average Nevada family has paid $3,300 more for goods and services on top of rising gas, grocery, health care, and utility bills.
