Istanbul to Host Third Global Islamic Economy Summit
According to reports, the four-day event is being organized by the AlBaraka Islamic Economy Forum as part of the AlBaraka Summits Türkiye initiative. The summit will be held at Halkbank’s headquarters within the Istanbul Financial Center.
Held under the theme “Capital in the Islamic Economy: Structuring Wealth for Sustainable Development,” this year’s gathering will explore key issues related to ethical finance, sustainable growth and the evolving landscape of Islamic economics and financial systems.
The agenda includes discussions on emerging technologies and modern financial trends, with sessions covering topics such as artificial intelligence, digital transformation, digital capital, financial innovation, Islamic fintech, sustainable liquidity models and opportunities for young entrepreneurs. According to reports, Anadolu will act as the event’s global communications partner.
One of the summit’s main sessions, “Digital Capital and Financial Innovation: Technology, Governance and Shariah Integrity,” will focus on how artificial intelligence can be integrated into Islamic finance. Discussions are expected to examine applications such as credit evaluation, risk management, automated regulatory compliance and the tokenization of Shariah-compliant assets.
According to reports, the summit aims to encourage dialogue on building resilient and sustainable financial frameworks while exploring how technological advancements can shape the future of the Islamic economy.
